Young people have voted in record numbers in 2004, 2006 and 2008. Young advocates are creating new vehicles for change every day. Our generation is using its power and voice to move America in a more positive, progressive direction right now. The fourth annual Campus Progress National Conference is set for July 8, 2008. Come to Washington, D.C., and participate in an opportunity for young people to join together from all across the nation to collaborate on the issues that drive us.

This exciting one-day event will feature remarks by leading politicians, activists, journalists, and policy experts; issue discussions; networking opportunities; hands-on activism to take back to your campus; breakfast, lunch, and an evening reception.

Launched in February 2005, Campus Progress is the Center for American Progress’s comprehensive effort to strengthen progressive young voices nationwide and empower new generations of leaders.

Campus Progress includes: a multimedia web publication and blog, CampusProgress.org; funding, training, and mentoring to a growing number of campus publications and issue campaigns work; a campus events team that sends prominent speakers to colleges and universities for speeches, debates, symposia, film screenings, and other events; a growing student network that includes chapters, student representatives and advisory board members; and training and conferences for young people.
