White House: Recognizing Affordable Care Act Successes Two Years Later
SOURCE:
The White House Office of Public Engagement and the Department of Health & Human Services are looking for new “Champions of Change” who have benefitted from the Affordable Care Act since it was signed into law nearly two years ago.
The Champions for Change White House program is seeking individuals and organizations that have spent the last two years teaching others about the benefits of the Affordable Care Act. Since its passage, the legislation have provided coverage for more than 2.5 million more young Americans and helped ensure those with preexisting conditions can afford coverage, among other benefits.
The White House wants to highlight these “champions” for their efforts in raising awareness about what the Affordable Care Act has done for Americans over the past two years. If you know an individual or organization that has been educating their community on the benefits of health-care reform or helping others benefit under the Affordable Care Act, nominate them using this form by Feb. 16.
The Affordable Care Act was signed by President Obama on March 23, 2010.
