Kellan Schmidt
Kellan Schmidt is a journalism intern with Campus Progress. A junior at Nebraska Wesleyan University, he is majoring in History and minoring in Political Science and Minority Studies. He is in Washington, DC through an internship program with Nebraska Wesleyan and living, for the first-time, outside a forty-five mile radius of his hometown. Contrary to the beliefs of some, he is not a farmer and does have indoor plumbing in Nebraska. A lifelong Nebraskan, he’s passionate about Nebraska football and basketball. Previously, he volunteered with Barack Obama’s presidential campaign in Omaha.
