National Issue Campaigns

Iraq – The Campus Progress Iraq Campaign works to halt the escalation, bring a prompt resolution to the conflict, reduce violence and suffering in Iraq, bring our troops home, and build greater peace and security for the United States and the world. Through local and national organizing, advocacy, and activism, plus our Iraq Film project and Iraq Action Camp, the Iraq Campaign aims for a change of course on the war now.
Student Debt and College Affordability – Campus Progress launched the Debt Hits Hard campaign, which aims to soften the blow of student and credit card debt, and make college more affordable. Campus Progress is also a part of the Campaign for College Affordability. We are looking for young people to share their stories about dealing with student and credit card debt or financing a college education. Click here find out other ways to get involved.
Academic Freedom – Campus Progress is a member of the Free Exchange on Campus coalition, which is beating back conservative efforts to restrict the free exchange of ideas on campus and impose a new political correctness on America’s colleges and universities.
Global Warming – Campus Progress is part of the Campus Climate Challenge, a long-term coordinated campaign bringing students, faculty, staff, administrators, and social and environmental organizations together to reduce greenhouse gas emissions on campus and in the community. In March, we hosted an alternative spring break in Santa Barbara, CA, focused on climate activism.
